A mailbox that has lost its connection shows as INACTIVE on the Email Accounts page. Reconnect it from the row's actions menu, and nothing sends from it until you do.
The states a mailbox can be in
The Status column shows one of four values:
ACTIVE— connected and usable by campaigns.WARMING— connected, still in warmup, not used for campaign sends.INACTIVE— this is what "disconnected" means here. Sending and reply syncing are stopped.ARCHIVED— retired by you.
The separate Health column labels an INACTIVE mailbox as Paused, which is the same thing described from a different angle. It also shows Sync error when the last sync failed, and Token expiring when the sign-in is within three days of running out. Hover the cell to see the last error.
To see only broken mailboxes, use the Failing quick view above the table.
Why it happens
Almost always the provider sign-in expired or was revoked — a password change, an administrator removing access, or a security policy re-prompt. A provider quota failure can do it too. You will usually get a notification titled Reconnect with the mailbox address: "This mailbox's Google sign-in expired, so sending and reply syncing are paused. Reconnect the account to resume."
How to reconnect
- Open Email Accounts.
- Open the actions menu on the mailbox row.
- Choose Reconnect. You are sent to Google or Microsoft to sign in again and approve access.
- When you come back, the status should return to
ACTIVE. If it does not, use Sync now and check the Health column for a remaining error.
Reconnect appears for Google and Microsoft mailboxes that are INACTIVE or whose sign-in is about to expire.
Google Workspace mailboxes connected by an administrator
An INACTIVE Google mailbox also offers Reactivate via DWD, which mints a fresh token through Google domain-wide delegation and flips the account back to active.
If your workspace mailboxes were connected in bulk by an administrator rather than each person signing in, that is the option to use — Reconnect starts a personal Google sign-in, which is not how those mailboxes are authorised. If Reactivate via DWD does not fix it, the repair is in the Google Admin console rather than in Fuzegenai: an administrator needs to re-authorise the delegation. See Connect Gmail and Google Workspace.
Catching up after a reconnection
Once the mailbox is ACTIVE again, the actions menu offers Resend failed emails. It re-queues emails from that mailbox that failed in the last seven days, skips anyone who has since bounced or unsubscribed, and spaces the rest out.
A disconnected mailbox does not stop a campaign that has other healthy mailboxes attached — it just stops being used. If the campaign has gone quiet entirely, work through Why is my campaign not sending?. For a mailbox that is connected but losing standing, see Mailbox health and sender reputation.
If a mailbox keeps dropping back to INACTIVE after a successful reconnection, send the address to priority@fuzegenai.com.
